he's not even going to bother trying to hide it considering that he's still going to be loitering around ardyn's office. he has other things he needs to talk to ardyn about, anyway. ]

[He will miss those red pens when he's trying to grade something, or just scribble notes down. The latter is most likely to happen, considering class isn't in yet, but he'll be briefly baffled at first, before remembering seeing Kaiba in his office on this day.

For now, though, he wanders in -- having some wayward task that still needed to be completed on campus for whatever reason today -- and is a little surprised to see Kaiba there.]

[ Yu texted Ardyn some time ago, asking him if he was free and letting him know he wanted to bring his boyfriend with him to say hello today. Yosuke's been nervous as hell about it, but Yu is excited. Knowing his uncle supports him... already means more than he can express, and while he thinks Ardyn may tease, there's no small sense of elation attached to the idea of his precious uncle getting to know the boyfriend he likes so much. They should get along, he thinks. At least, he hopes they will.

So he'll turn up at Ardyn's house on Wednesday afternoon with a somewhat restless Yosuke by his side. While they're still alone, he'll lean in to press a kiss to Yosuke's cheek and smile at him. ]

It'll be fine.

[ And then he'll let them into the house, calling out: ]

Uncle? We're here.

[Ardyn had been expecting company, but of course the first out to greet the two would be the cats. Two of them, at least -- a sleek black one named Erebus, and a tortoiseshell named Morla. They saunter up to Yu, quite familiar with him, with their tails in the air.

Ardyn follows in but a moment after.]

Ah, you're here. [A smile for his nephew, looking as amused as he ever is.] I finally get to meet the one I've heard so much about.

You have your own array of friends, don't you? Utilize that and your own social nature to your advantage. Invite this person out, and have them get to know your own friends in return. Your schedule would allow it, wouldn't it?

[it is one of the many times prompto visits ardyn. on this day, however, instead of finding prompto standing outside the door, politely knocking and waiting to be welcomed into the home, ardyn will instead find prompto halfway through the window. his legs are dangling outside while the upper half of his body is in, hands holding onto the windowsill to try and push himself forward.]

[his backpack has caught on the latch of the window, is all]

Nnnhh... Oh, hey, Ardyn!

[Ardyn is tired, so very tired. The healing had taken it all out of him (four people alone in his little stint in the forest bunker); his bones and muscles ache (the pain starting to dull, but still flickering at the edges of his consciousness), and he can still feel the sting of cuts and the disorientation of poison that he had healed Cleo from specifically. But he remains focused enough to make it to his home, refusing to stop to rest until then — except he’s stopped by the sight of Prompto trying to crawl through his window.]

Prompto? [His voice is a bit gravelly from being exhausted, but the question is heard loud and clear. He walks to his window, then grasps a hand at the boy’s backpack, pulling back.]

You realize this wouldn’t look very good if a police car drove by?

At this point he's already had a talking-to by Grell, and boy is he just worn out. At least he's rested slightly more, so that his text messages aren't riddled with tiny errors uncharacteristic of Ardyn.]

[Poor Grell, she sounds so Tired, and this is barely two lines of text. But Ardyn feels it just as prominently in his bones, and they still have another week ahead of them.]

It sounds as if your team is having difficulties. Should I be worried?

Though if it's a distraction that you want, I have many to provide. Would you like to know about how I was forced to follow a koi fish underwater? How about the time that our team grew gills so we could continually explore a half-sunken stone temple? Or when we gave a mermaid a makeover? Or when I sportscast a seahorse race, with one of my young teammates playing jockey while the other stole the first place prize? Or how a Lovecraftian monster grabbed me by my leg with its tentacle and threw me into one of my companions like a rag doll? That was fun. I still have the bruises.
