I bit off a little more than I could chew, essentially

I can try to heal you now, if you're available, and have an idea of where to meet.

thanks so much!
what is your idea?
no subject
Someplace safe, for one. Monsters may have poured out of the convention center to begin with, but generally speaking it's safer to keep to large structures. Come to the law building on Recolle U campus. My office is on the third floor.
[It'll be easier to heal away from prying eyes.]

let me just figure out what to tell my mom and we'll be there soon
[See, uh... with monsters about, and having already gotten hurt by one, Ami's lost quite a bit of the autonomy she's accustomed to. She already had to fib to her parents so they'd let her go out with Team Cognac (which is NOT a name she told them, either).]

If you run into trouble on the way, let me know.
[He hopes that won’t be case, though. Assuming everything goes smoothly, though, when she arrives he’ll be waiting in his office.]
> Ami: Go up.
Fortunately, there's no trouble en route. The local radio stations have monster advisories now, right before traffic-and-weather-together-on-the-sevens, so it's not too hard to navigate around. When they arrive, she shoots off one last text -]
I'm coming up
[And in a couple minutes she's knocking on his office door.]
Mr. Izunia?

He’s seated at his desk, and it’s everything one would expect from a law professor’s office. Books, papers, a striking neatness and organization prevalent throughout. He rises briefly to his feet, however, offering her a smile and motioning at her to sit in the chair on the other side of his desk.]
Come in, please, and have a seat. I take it you didn’t have any trouble finding my office?
no subject
Nope! It was pretty straightforward. So, uh... how does this work, exactly?
[The problem limb - her right arm - is helpfully highlighted with a neon pink cast and standard-issue blue sling. So she's inwardly grateful he didn't try to shake her hand or anything. It would have been the whole awkward "oh wait, not that hand, this hand, no that hand, no your other left" comedy of minor errors.]
no subject
Give me your hand. [He offers his own, so that she may place hers there.] It needn’t be the one with the delightfully pink cast. I simply require touch for my magic to work. There will be a glow and a warmth, but don’t let it frighten you. Just relax.
no subject
[Relaxing isn't quite as easy as it sounds, but she rests her good hand in his and waits. Her hand's quite a bit smaller than his, she notices.]
no subject
In any case, he begins without another word. As he described, there's a warm glow around his hands, which ekes its way towards her injury. She'll feel pain washing away as the bones in her wrist begin to heal. It's a rather calming process, though Ardyn has to pointed ignore the pain beginning to blossom (dull, yet poignant), in his own wrist. He fights away the frown that threatens to pierce his expression as a result, but since he's done this several times before, he at least has the advantage of knowing what to expect.
It'll be a few long seconds before the cast is no longer needed.]
no subject
Ami turns her hand over a few times, insofar as the cast will let her.]
Oh, wow. It feels...
[She gets brave and vigorously shakes it back and forth. Still no pain!]
... It's totally back to normal!
no subject
He smiles at her when he's done, retracting his hand and ignoring the pain. It's easier to do if he focuses on the positive; that he now knows that broken bones are fair game, too.]
I'm glad to hear it. I imagine you won't be needing that cast any longer, either.
