Meanwhile, he's sitting on his couch scrolling to the top of their conversation. Reading over "Ardyn Lucis Caelum" a good twelve times to try and rouse up a memory to explain it. Something. Because this doesn't make sense, and it just makes this situation all the more strange.

[Clear and concise thought is not something that escapes Ardyn very often. It isn't merely by habit, but a natural inclination to be eloquent (even if that means he sounds like he came out of a Shakespearean play) and well-spoken. Yes, he's human, but the slip of a text sending early is just indicative of how jarring this is.
