Actually, I think Souji mentioned something like this almost a month ago.

[Ardyn is going to remain calm for both of their sakes -- time to be rational and not emotional, despite worry gnawing at him. Yu saying that everything else is fine alleviates a bit of this, at the very least.]

There's been more than one instance that I know of, concerning the change of eye color. Again, all users of Retrospec.

Yeah. I'd read about a few others. I just hadn't experienced anything myself until now.

No, he still looks the same. But he once asked me if he'd ever dyed his hair silver or gray, saying he remembered having that hair color.

I wonder if these changes are meant to reflect what we've seen of ourselves in our memories? But that would be nothing more than conjecture for now. Eye color is more difficult to judge, unless you remember viewing yourself in a mirror.

... I wonder if that means my hair might change color. I don't have a memory like Souji's, but we are twins, so it would make sense, wouldn't it?

As logical as that that conclusion may be, let's not tempt fate, shall we?

I suppose we must take solace in the fact that for now, your eyes are a color which might still not draw too much attention. No neon purple, or bright gold. And yet in the end, the important part is that you remain unharmed, and that your eyes function as normal.

Like I said, unsettled. I guess uncomfortable might be the better word, but there doesn't seem to be much I can do about it. A friend suggested colored contacts or sunglasses.

A fair suggestion if you want to avoid the questions that follow.

I wish there were more reassurances that I could offer you. However, my hands are tied; all I can offer is that, perhaps someday, we may be able to find a way to reverse these changes that none of us asked for.

Going to school with sunglasses might be worse than going with silver eyes. I haven't decided.

Given that it seems Retrospec was able to cause these changes in the first place, you think they might be able to roll them back? I wonder.

That's what I would like to believe. But this requires actually being able to communicate with them, which thus far remains impossible.

And I assure you it isn't for lack of trying. There have been multiple attempts to contact Retrospec, but all queries bounce back and are posted to the network instead. Even an attempt to physically find an employee appears fruitless so far.

That isn't to say that we should give up, of course. If anything it makes me feel even more stubborn.

... somehow I wonder if messages to them bouncing onto the network is intentional. Either way, I agree with you. We can't give up trying. All we can do is investigate until we find an answer.
