[He's awake already. Of course he is; this is nothing new for Ardyn, for sleep to escape him fully in the dead of the night. And when his screen lights up just next to him, he checks it but moments later.

What he reads brings him hesitation, but not the bad kind. It isn't as if Ardyn doesn't expect sincerity from Prompto, for the boy was absolutely brimming with it, but this -- this is a gratitude that warms the heart. He grins faintly at his phone as he types a reply.]

Sentimentally attached? I should be flattered, I think.

[But the slight intonation of a joke fades away quickly, in favor of:]

I'm more than happy to watch over you, Prompto. You're practically family at this rate. I would be foolish /not/ to be invested in both your health and happiness.

We should do something again sometime. Something outside of you sitting in during a lecture, whenever you've the time to spare. Did you know that I invited Dante to join us during one of our dinners? I think the extra company would be welcome, and at this rate it'll be quite the scene of domesticity.
