Yeah. I've already hit up my advisor about taking the rest of the semester off. They've got copies of everything my doctor sent. Plus, I've got 24 hour care now, so...

Then it sounds as if you're going the responsible route and taking care of yourself. Good, Noctis.

[Ardyn does worry about the young man and the state of his health. Not just because of how it affects his status at university, but rather simply because Ardyn just... cares. Secret bleeding heart that he is.]

I'll take care of what I can on my end. You needn't worry about my classes, at least.

[ He's at least able to breathe a sigh of relief there. Ardyn was somewhat his strictest teacher, for good reason. But he doesn't intend on taking advantage of this.

It didn't hurt that bad to admit it's because of his declining health. ]

Wasn't the whole reason I called, though. My old man still needs some help off and on, some stuff revolving around legal paperwork.

So I wanted to see if tutoring or off-campus schooling is something you do. Can't sit here doing nothing.

[Strict as Ardyn is in the classroom, he is not a tyrant. He will allow for leniency when the situation calls for it -- and the situation certainly does call for it, here.

I haven't done so in a while, but it's not unheard of. I think I can manage, assuming that we can both make our schedules work to accommodate it.

[ That’s a relief. Truth be told, Noctis has been feeling pretty stifled. Schooling is too difficult for him at this moment, but short spurts of tutoring should be fine. ]

It’s totally on your time, honestly. I’ve uh... I’ve got nothing but free time at this point.

After my classes, then. I can come tutor you on the days that are the most convenient.

[Even if Noctis says that he has all the free time in the world, Ardyn is still respectful of a student's time, and refuses to dictate the entirety of the schedule. They'll just have to talk about it later.]

May I... ask how you've been doing? How you've been feeling? If it's not so bold of me.

Right. Yeah, we can work that out.

[ He pauses at the question. Noctis still finds it hard to talk about it, and that much is clear in the sound he makes. It’s not too bold to ask; Ardyn is a friend and he’s related to him. He should be treated like family.

It takes him a moment to mull this over. ]

I have my good days and bad days...

It’s been off and on since I left the hospital. I, uh, need a live-in caretaker. Being monitored constantly.

I imagine it’s a change from what you’re used to. But I hope for your sake that you have more good days than bad.

Your caretaker, do you get along well with them?

[ Despire it all, Noctis manages a smile. It can’t be seen, but his tone should carry enough. ]

It’s been an adjustment period but so far so good. He’s actually a childhood friend. His mom was my nurse when I stayed in a pediatric hospital around 8 years old.

His names Ignis. I’m sure you’ll see him around.
