I admit, I did tease you often, didn't I? But it was easier that way -- to play it off as some grand joke if you ended up showing no interest. I was almost sure that you wouldn't.

[Really, it was his nephew's fault. But it was also his nephew's remark that caused Ardyn to reach out to Grell in the first place, giving him a silly reason to point to if she rejected him, or if she did not take to him. How funny that all seemed now.

Ardyn skates ahead of her just enough to turn around and catch her in his arms. They glide back until Ardyn's back gently bumps against the border of the rink.]
