What exactly happened? What did they look like?

Guy tried to run off with somebody's laptop. I was off the clock, and couldn't tell if the woman was hurt, so I checked on her, instead of chasing the guy.

Next thing I know, somebody's got the drop on the guy. By the time I caught up, our vigilante had it in hand.

Likely male, my height or a little taller, but that's all I got.

So you're telling me that there really is someone out there, playing makeshift superhero?

And... well, are we really all that surprised?

Surprised? No. Afraid, yes.

Can't tell if I'm more afraid of whoever it is getting hurt or crossing the line with someone. I had thought we were about to get a vigilante after a violent incident back in June, but that seemed to be a personal vendetta.

Whoever's running around in the red mask, multiple people have seen them.

Already checked with the kids. Dante, Prompto, and Noctis are in the clear.

Someone playing superhero was an inevitability; just look at all the powers that Retrospec is handing us back. All the memories to go along with them, some kinder than others.

Though I suppose the fact that it was inevitable does not help that it is also inconvenient for Recolle PD.

Is there anything I can do for you, other than keep an eye out? Is there more description than that to go by? What sort of red mask?

I've got to keep reminding myself it's not to do with us. We do our jobs, the city is incredibly safe under normal circumstances. But whatever Retrospec is pumping into this guy's head is driving them to do this, fill some kind of need, no matter what.

I want to find this guy and tell him to save it for the monster attacks.

Red mask, red jumpsuit, but a really dark red, hides well in the dark. Pulls over their head to cover everything.

Just. I don't even know. If you figure out who it is, send them my way, I don't even want to arrest them, unless they start really hurting people.

I'll freely admit my response is going to depend on who it turns out to be.

I'll give it a try. Because I know this isn't over. I've told people not to go looking for him, but I also know I won't follow my own advice.

At least it wasn't someone who can shoot fireballs. They just seemed to have hand-to-hand fighting ability. Can I rest a little easier with that idea?
